Who is negative?
Negative is defined as hostile or disparaging; malicious. The Bloggers4Sayre were not. We presented the facts. We did spotlight where the two candidates disagreed. We let people know about the tax increase. We let people know about illegal aliens. We let people know about the gas tax. I let people know about how Sen.Hanger has a thing for our septic systems. We let the people know which candidate was blurring the definition of a Republican.

The name calling didn't just come from the Senator's supporters either. The only time any of the Sayre people seem anyway negative is in defense, in responding to belligerant behavior.

The very nature of these blogs in that they largely present opinion as fact would be considered a deception by most. Deception is usually a negative. To try to seperate what the blogger has written in a blog and what they have written in response to a comment makes no sense. The writer is the same in both cases. And I'm sure Spank the Donkey meant no ill will toward Senator Hanger in any of his blogs. It was just some good natured ribbing. Words like "sanctimonious" and "two-faced" are really just terms of endearmeant.
What I take from this is that you consider it "belligerant behavior" for people to disagree with your opinion or the opinions put forth by your colleagues, and you are justified in responding negatively.

The Sayre campaign crossed the line this weekend and broke the law. I will be posting the proof you're always asking me for tomorrow Chris.

I find in this situation that Hanger is a spoil sport. He now finds himself in a position which I told him he would be in back in 2004. I told him as a prediction that passing a tax bill that would hurt the middle income bracket as his proposal would (and eventually did) would be the end of his political aspirations. He laughed in making a joke that it would never happen. He didn't get it then and he doesn't get it now, sort of disbelief and denial that his way of doing things is not our way. He was hired to represent OUR rights not his or North-east Virginia's. Now we are going to fire him for that very reason.
One big problem is the rag of a newspaper we have in this town. I have seen the worst behavior in this political situation not so much on the candidates part but in the ranting like a stuck pig by the editorial staff of the News Leader. If they ever found out how to actually be real writers with stories that were factual and informative for the people to decide what they want, Hell would freeze over. Not only are they distorting the entire picture but in the process they call Scott Sayer a communist. What right does Dennis Neal have making statements like that? Where does Mr. Fritz get the right to think that a smearing cartoon is funny. In fact where do they get the right to attempt to force the issue of telling the PEOPLE who they should vote for. They did it back in 2004 and now they are at it again. I had words with Gannet back then and I intend to do it again. It comes down to the fact that very many people don't like the Editorial Staff and a change may be needed or put the paper out of business.
Another problem with blogs is people who hide behind ANONYMITY that don't have the intestinal fortitude to stand behind what they say. Both of the above comments fall within that category and quite frankly I have never seen that sort of twist put on a subject except by Secular Progressives.
Try this: SANCTIMONIOUS; Making a SHOW of HOLINESS; affecting sanctity.
That is not a term of endearment. That is a person who by choice makes an act of or show of being holy but in reality it is all show and no go.
TWO-FACED; 1. Having two faces, 2. deceitful; hypocritical.
That doesn't sound like a term of endearment either. Being deceitful and a hypocrite sounds exactly how Hanger has acted toward his constituents and I strongly believe that if elected he will continue down the same path.
Hanger has become a Dinosaur and it seems that some of his endorsers have been out of the mainstream of politics for a period of time. Thus being dinosaur's themselves they are basing their opinion and endorsement on past behavior and friendships not present facts.
We need GOOD NEW people to lead us into the 21st century like Scott Sayer. On the other hand Hanger wants us to resort back to the old ways. I wonder what that entails? He already has tried to add more taxes, he has slapped our troops and their families in the face by turning his back on their departure. Then in my own personal dealings with him, asking for help to form legislation to lock away juvenile sex offender predators and place them on the sex offender list same as adult offenders. He did nothing. In my way of thinking he must want those offenders sitting next to your daughter's in school making it possible for them to become the next victim. Why don't we just go back to the dumb hicks as portrayed in the old hillbilly movies where rape and incest were common practice. As Chairman of the Senate Committee for Health and Human Resources he had the power to do something about it and refused. Just what is he going to do if he is in charge of other committee's?
Come Tuesday the 12th use some common sense for once and vote for a change, vote for Scott Sayer. We have already seen what Hanger has done and what he intends to do. Do you realy want more of the same???

You know who's really negative? Scott Sayre! Take a look at the front page of his own website and you'll see that the only thing he has time to talk about is EMMETT HANGER! Lol.
Contrast this with emmetthanger.com, where the Senator has only one focus: the ISSUES at hand that effect us voters. That's why Hanger gets my vote over some slandering gossiper.

Dapits, TR, Stop with the namecalling, the foul language, etc. This negative stuff only feeds fuel to a fire that needs to be put out on 6/13. We are going to have to work together in the future. Yankee-I don't ever recall TR threatening anyone. You need to direct your comments to Richard Armstrong. He needs to calm himself down and stop with the verbal abuse and physical threats! You should see all the things he posted on Teddy's Truth. It was despicable!
Since he is one of your supporters, he needs to be reminded that not only is he making a fool of himself, he is also adding to the negativity of your candidate, Scott Sayre.
