In todays NEWSVIRGINIAN
In spite of what one blogger said about my letters to the editor ,in spite of being called a paid flunky,in spite of having "just moving to the valley"(2 years ago), I did have another letter published today in the local paper.

We need Sayre
Scott Sayre is the new voice we need in Richmond. He will say no to wasteful pork spending. He has common-sense solutions to meet the Valley’s needs. He has pledged to stop tax increases. He has said that he would not vote for in-state tuition for illegal aliens unlike Sen. Hanger. He has been a total gentleman on the campaign trail. So have his volunteers, unlike his opponent’s paid workers.
Scott Sayre has the backing of almost all of the grassroots volunteers in Augusta, Greene, Albemarle, Highland, Rockbridge and Rockingham counties. He has the support of the grassroots in Staunton and Waynesboro. Scott Sayre has asked for our votes on June 12. Let’s give it to him, so he can stop the wild tax increases that we are experiencing here in the Valley.

Congratulations Phil! It seems you're becoming quite the journalist. Earlier you had this to say:

"I have been in VA for just about 2 years next month. Is that "just moved". I have been visiting this area since 1990. I chose to move to this community. I investigated the area. I read crime stats, school stats, etc. I got lots of info from epodunk.com and the Virginia Dept of Education site. I researched housing trends, developers, builders. I am actively involved in a number of local organizations. I think that allows me to offer my informed opinion.
Members of Sayre's campaign are overwhelmingly volunteers. I don't get paid. I don't want to get paid. Are you are making this assumption because you are getting paid?"

What I'm reading from you is that you moved to this area in 2005 (after the tax reform of 2004)because of the great schools, low crime, and excellent housing situation.

That looks like a pretty good report card for Emmett Hanger. And no...I'm not getting paid one dime. My reward is making sure the truth sees the light of day. I would respect you guys a whole lot more if you would do the same.

I'm guessing you're attempting to refer to me here Phil considering I'm the one chatting you guys up. Unfortunately you just wrote another lie in the News Virginian because I'm not getting paid.

Emmett hasn't been negative at all. I don't even think he's mentioned Scott Sayre's name.

Tell a lie. Then tell an even bigger lie. I think eventually you start to believe your own lies and possibly start to think you're accomplishing something productive.

Your 'gentleman' had the chance to shut down vicious attacks against Sayre's wife, and now even employees.

Don't even think you can take the high road on this...

The only one who has a challenge with the truth is you and Senator Hanger... explain his flyer on illegal immigration?

How do we know you are not paid by the campaign? We don't even know who you are TR?

Whereas the vast majority of this B4S blog is well known in the blogosphere...

TR, Stop. Will you just stop trying to get under peoples skin? In the paper,I didnt say you.Are you saying you are the only Hanger worker?
In reply to your comment on the blog, I asked if you are getting paid? There are no lies. A lie is a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood. We just have a different view of the facts. You have a view that is pro-Hanger. I accept that. My view is different, not a lie

I have said I would gladly vote for Sen.Hanger. He is a perfect 2nd choice.

You are my favorite Blogger 4 Sayre Phil. You guys sometimes throw stuff out a little wildly though. I imagine all of you are very good people. I don't have a personal problem with any of you.

I understand that you were once a New York police officer and I respect the heck out of that.

Our exchange is what blogs are all about. If we didn't challenge one another, who would?

Challenging is one thing, calling people liars, hypocrites, hedonists, paid schills, insane, piles of garbage is another. Tell me you disagree with what I say, but don't denigrate me by saying that I lied. I freely, openly, gladly admit that I am sarcastic. I used hyperbole when describing Sen.Hanger's letter to Dems, but it was not a lie. And nobody should feel demeaned. The only one who should feel bad about that post are Republicans who are having there primary corrupted, and the person who is doing the corrupting.
