Oh Lordy, I can'ts afford me none of that "Emmett Gas"!!! You see Emmett voted to raise the wholesale price of gasoline in Senate Bill 708 Five (5) Percent!! So at $2.00 a gallon it would be $.10 or ten cents a gallon, if wholesale is $2.50, (here cometh Memorial Day) it's $.125 a gallon!

The bill you linked to wasn't patroned or even co-patroned by Senator Hanger and passed unanimously in the senate's second vote with the tax you mentioned intact.
anon: Really, then how did Cuccinelli, Martin, McDougle, Newman, Obenshain, and O'Brien get to vote against it? 2/17/6 on the floor?
Again, the curiousity is that B4S is criticized for being anonymous and dubious, but yet the only supporters of Emmett who post here are anonymous?

Read carefully. I said second vote. Yes, the third vote was 34-6. Those six that changed there vote must have objected to other changes in the final draft because the gas tax that you object to was in both drafts. Again, not Senator Hanger's bill, but for your purposes you'll give him the credit and forget about the other 39 Senators that saw fit to let it come to a third vote.
As for posting anon...if I thought this was a civil group of free thinkers and there would be no physical repercussions for disagreeing I'd have no problems posting a name. But this is "Bloggers 4 Sayre" and ya'll take this stuff way too seriously. I don't want a bunch of Sayre-ites burning donkeys outside my house or what ever it is you burn.
